Find a template that works for you (electronic or paper).
Find a planning time that works for you.
Make your plan match your life.
Change the plan on the fly if it doesn’t suit you or if (gasp!) you forgot to take dinner out of the freezer or buy a key ingredient. If you are planning on a regular basis, it should be an easy thing to adapt to whatever crazy changes life throws at you.
Give yourself a break — if you just can’t do it tonight, take a deep breath and order takeout. Dinner is not about guilt.
